About the journal
Acta Physica Polonica B is an abstracted, refereed journal published by the Jagellonian University, Cracow, Poland, in cooperation with the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Physics of the Jagellonian University and the Polish Physical Society.
Acta Physica Polonica B covers the following areas of physics:
- General and Mathematical Physics
- Particle Physics and Field Theory
- Nuclear Physics
- Theory of Relativity and Astrophysics
- Statistical Physics
Note that a sister journal, Acta Physica Polonica A, published by the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, covers all other areas of physics
Instructions to Authors
The preferred language of all submissions is English; although in accordance with the European Physical Society regulations papers in French or German can also be accepted, authors are warned that this can
delay the publication
seriously limit the potential readership. Traditional manuscripts can still be processed, but to speed up publication, authors are strongly encouraged to submit electronically LaTeX or plain TeX versions of their papers. The submission should be made by e-mail or on a diskette.
Note that submissions by fax cannot be accepted.
Figures should be sent in the Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) format or by traditional mail.
Submission must be followed by the Copyright Transfer Agreement (gzipped PostScript , PostScript, PDF).
In general, material to be submitted should include:
- LaTeX or plain TeX version of the paper (in case of electronic submission) or two copies of the manuscript (in case of traditional mail submission),
- title, the author's (or authors') name(s), initials and affiliation,
- suggested short title for running heads,
- abstract; in case of non-English submissions an English version of the abstract is required,
- PACS Index number,
- list of references,
- list of figure captions,
- list of all handwritten or unusual symbols,
- EPS-format files with all the figures (in case of electronic submission) or "print-quality" copies of all the figures (in case of traditional mail submission),
- covering letter signed by at least one of the authors requesting publication.
The Editorial Board does not return the manuscripts of rejected papers.
Authors who want to speed up the publication or who intend to submit to Acta Physica Polonica B on a regular basis should download the Acta Physica Polonica B LaTeX style .
