About the journal Accounting Horizons is one of three association-wide journals published by the American Accounting Association (AAA). This journal seeks to bridge academic and professional audiences with articles that focus on accounting, broadly defined, and that provide insights pertinent to the accounting profession. The contents of Accounting Horizons, therefore, should interest researchers, educators, practitioners, regulators, and students of accounting.

Submission Requirements: Authors should note the following guidelines for submitting manuscript:
- Manuscripts currently under consideration by another journal or other publisher should not be submitted. The author must state that the work is not submitted or published elsewhere.
- New and revised manuscripts must be submitted through the Manuscript Submission and Peer Review System for Accounting Horizons, located at http://horizons.peerx-press.org. Information in the instrument that might identify the authors must be deleted or masked.
- Online payment of the submission fee (VISA or MasterCard) at https://aaahq.org/AAAforms/journals/horsubmit.cfm is preferred and must be made in U.S. funds for $75.00 for members or $100.00 for nonmembers of the AAA. The submission fee is nonrefundable.
